Post-collegiate club lacrosse has existed in the San Francisco Bay Area since the 1960s, with clubs in Palo Alto, San Francisco, Lake Tahoe and Marin County consistently playing high-quality amateur lacrosse across Northern California.
Yet, during that span, no club has stood the test of time in the East Bay. We've seen many promising teams with exceptional players — East Bay Athletic Club and Cali Love to name a few — have come and go over the past decades, despite the immense talent residing here. Local collegiate teams, such as Cal Berkeley, St. Mary's College, and Diablo Valley College (DVC Lacrosse) produce top players who frequently do not have any post-collegiate options to continue playing lacrosse.
With that in mind, we've set out an ambitious goal to establish a new Men's Lacrosse Club for the East Bay Area that will be managed in a way to ensure longevity, will be involved in the local lacrosse community, and will be competitive with our peers on the Peninsula, in the City, in Marin County, and beyond.
Diablo Lacrosse Club is centered around the "Diablo Valley" region of the inland East Bay. While our focus area is primarily along the Interstate 680 and Highway 24 corridors, we are a club for anyone in the East Bay who is looking for a competitive men's lacrosse team to join.
